Mind-Body Coaching by Dr. Rachel Smartt
We are usually inundated with harmful food, weight, and diet messages. We’re told that we’re willpower weaklings or need more control. But often, eating habits are connected to work, money, relationships, family, intimacy, stress, and so much more. By working on the most relevant areas for you, success is more easily achieved.
My approach is positive and empowering. I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology for my clients. They consult me on weight, binge eating, overeating, body image challenges, and various nutrition-related health concerns. I tailor my coaching practices to be suitable for my clients’ bodies and personal styles. As we work together in this way, eating and health become areas of exploration and opportunities for growth and self-improvement. In addition to coaching strategies, I support my clients with nutrition principles that are nourishing, doable, attainable, and sustainable.
I coach person-to-person, in group settings, and over the phone. My role as a coach is to assist with improving eating challenges rather than a replacement for psychotherapy, legal counsel, or medical advice.
About Dr. Rachel Smartt’s Coaching Certification
I trained at the Institute for the Psychology Eating, the world’s leading school in Nutritional Psychology, where I received my certification in Mind-Body Nutrition and Dynamic Eating Psychology. In IPE’s internationally acclaimed program, I learned powerful, cutting-edge tools and protocols that enable me to work with weight issues, body image challenges, overeating, binge eating, and various nutrition-related health concerns, such as digestion and fatigue, mood, immunity, and others. The skills I harnessed from this training are a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, clinical nutrition, body-centered practices, mind-body science, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.
